Prague, Czech Republic February 4, 2025 – Tropic Square announces the availability of samples for their open and auditable secure element TROPIC01. The public announcement was made by John Sirianni, Tropic Square CEO, during the IoT Security Foundation webinar last week.

TROPIC01 is a RISC-V based secure element built to be tamper proof for protection against side channel and physical attacks. The open-architecture secure element’s primary function is to generate and guard cryptographic keys as well as sensitive digital data.

Individuals and companies selected to test TROPIC01 samples will be able to independently carry out prototyping, evaluation, and testing with the chip. The Tropic Square development team invites feedback on the chip design and its implementation to address any potential vulnerabilities before moving to wide-scale production.
